Lucky Chan is a 280-seat premium Cantonese restaurant located on the iconic banks of the Yarra in Southbank, Melbourne.
The restaurant’s prominent position on Southbank meant that the level of design and finish of the space needed to meet the high standards that are becoming a precedent in this area.
The space is reminiscent of a mansion in Shanghai from the 1920s. It mixes old and new with a sleek fit-out, glistening marble floors and modern wall fixtures contrasted with antique décor.
The restaurant layout maximises the beautiful river views, and each dining area features a different design experience. The characteristics and ambience allow clients to encounter a new atmosphere each time they dine.
The design achieves sophisticated and timeless outcomes through strong contrasts of light, texture and reflective layers.
