During the pandemic, Shape Group approached WEBB+ for a fast-track 130-room and corridor refurbishment. This project was completed as a design and construct method with two room types.
Working within the tight confines of existing rooms was challenging to make amenities feel comfortable and generous in space. The brief was family-friendly, bright, and optimistic. Based on the beach and water location, light timbers, soft pastel tones, and a custom-designed marine mural added light and personality to the space.
High-traffic spaces with young families needed practical, hardwearing materials and surfaces such as engineered timber flooring, woven administer carpet, tiles and vinyl wallcoverings.
The chosen carpet was from Feltex Oceanic Collection. Profits from this range were donated to the charity Take 3 For The Sea, a global movement that aims to remove plastic pollution from the environment.
